Executive Dialogues @ NAB 2016
The World Teleport Association’s Executive Dialogue Series provides WTA members with opportunities to share their viewpoints, experience and technical knowledge with a global audience. During NAB 2016, WTA will conduct video interviews with executives of WTA member companies in the Distribution area of the show floor for playout on the WTA Web site.

WTA’s Membership Director, Randall Barney, will be conducting interviews at WTA's Booth in the South Upper Hall - Booth SU14912 or at your booth.

Interviews will be conducted April 18-20.

Industry Dialogue Themes 2016

What Does an End-to-End Solution Really Mean – and How Do You Provide It?
  • If I say the word “end-to-end” to you, what does it mean in the markets you serve?
  • Give us an example of an end-to-end solution you provide to a customer and where the value of it really lies.
  • What are the challenges a company faces in providing end-to-end solutions instead of just services, capabilities and products?
  • What advice would you give to a colleague trying to move from providing individual services or products into providing end-to-end solutions? What are the lessons you have learned?
The Most Important Satellite-Terrestrial Technologies of the Next Three Years
  • Thinking about the technology innovations in your industry today, which do you think will have the greatest impact on the satellite/fiber services business? Why?
  • Please give us one or two examples of how these technologies create opportunities, reduce costs or help manage complexity.
  • Where are these technologies useful to you in opening new markets for your company, with customers you have never served before?
  • What other product or technology innovation would you most like to see arrive in the next few years?
Turning Innovation into Profit
  • Would you give us an example of an innovation at your company that became a successful product or service? Where did the idea come from and why do you think it became successful?
  • Customers are essential to the innovation process, but one customer’s solution does not always make a successful innovation. What do you do in the development process to improve the chances that an innovation will meet broader needs in the market?
  • Does market research play a role in innovation at your company? What can it tell you about opportunities and what are its limits?
  • What is your approach to pricing an innovation for market, taking into account development expenses, market acceptance and competitive pressures?
  • What are the most important mistakes to avoid in developing a new product or service?

Videos will be streamed on the WTA website for a full year following the event and promoted to WTA members, teleport and satellite customers and the trade press.
