Thaicom Partners With Gilat Enhancing broadband satellite solutionsin Asia-Pacific Region

NONTHABURI, THAILAND, 19 June 2013, THAICOM Public Company Limited (SET BKK: 
THCOM), Asia’s leading satellite operator announced today that THAICOM has signed a 
Cooperation Framework Agreement with Gilat Satellite Networks Limited (Gilat) (NASDAQ, TASE: 
GILT), a worldwide leader in satellite networking technology, solutions and services, to provide 
integrated platform solutions using Gilat’s ground system on THAICOM-4 (IPSTAR) high 
throughput satellite in countries across Asia-Pacific where the system best suits customers.

This cooperation is another step in THAICOM’s Open Access Platform (OAP) strategy, which allows technology equipment vendors to access THAICOM-4 (IPSTAR) high throughput satellite, providing customers with more choices and flexibility to better serve their requirements.

Suphajee Suthumpun, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Chief Executive Officer of 
THAICOM, stated that "We are very pleased to sign the cooperation framework agreement with 
GILAT. Our two companies have a long term relationships. We have had a very successful 
collaboration in National Broadband Network (NBN) project in Australia. This agreement will further 
strengthen our partnerships in the region. The cooperation underlines the success of our Open Access Platform strategy, which enabling THAICOM to provide customers of THAICOM-4 (IPSTAR) satellite with solutions that suit their specific requirements. ”
