AAE Systems, Inc. Announces the Next Generation of Eclipse MF-TDMA DAMA Products

AAE Systems, Inc. is excited to announce the next generation of Eclipse MF-TDMA DAMA products, DSR-12 and DSR-48 digital satellite routers. The digital satellite routers are rich in enhanced features and provide backward compatibility with the current Eclipse DSM-1 and DMM-6 platforms. Consistent with the history of creativity and innovation, the next generation of Eclipse products contains technically advanced enhancements that produce dynamic yet cost-effective solutions to meet the satellite communications requirements of any VSAT network.

Key enhancements made to the Eclipse product family include:

    • Expanded network - up to 1,200 nodes with DSR-12 and 4,800 nodes with DSR-48
    • Expanded user data rates:
      • Up to 12 Mbps outbound and 92 Mbps inbound (12 Mbps MF-TDMA and 80 Mbps DVB) in a single DSR-12
      • Up to 128 Mbps outbound (48 Mbps MF-TDMA and 80 Mbps DVB) and 48 Mbps inbound in a single DSR-48
    • Turbo Product Code with the Eclipse bandwidth efficient CPFSK modulation
    • Internal TCP enhancement protocols
    • Lightweight 1RU chassis for both the DSR-12 and DSR-48 models
    • Embedded Linux operating system
    • Traffic shaping functionality with 64 classes of service
    • Built-in 3DES or 256-bit AES encryption
    • Internal spectrum analysis toolset for satellite identification and antenna alignment
    • 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet interface
    • Over-the-air download and software update capabilities with confirmation before commitment
