Mainstream Data's Medias family of products combines Mainstream's Internet streaming technology (MediasNet) with its media server technology (Medias Server), to provide high-quality, low-cost, powerful customized content delivery for the world's largest information clients, from Reuters and the European PressPhoto Agency to NTN Communications and Technicolor. Mainstream's "no-compromise" digital networks provide:

  • Stunning multimedia quality and performance
  • Seamless Web integration
  • Robust diagnostics and monitoring
  • A powerful server platform for information provider or subscriber applications
  • Customized solutions for every information provider and each subscriber
  • Complete compatibility with existing Mainstream networks and protocols

MediasNet: Internet Push Network

The perfect solution for information providers who deliver worldwide, real-time streaming content at less than 128 kilobits per second. More powerful and sophisticated than traditional FTP technology, MediasNet uses streaming technologies to deliver information in real-time to end-users over the Internet. Multiple layers of security and encryption ensure that content is safe. MediasNet integrates seamlessly with existing satellite and terrestrial networks, allowing for the addition of new levels of interactivity and redundancy to existing systems.

Medias Server

Allows content providers to transmit, capture, store, assimilate, and display content in a flexible and powerful format. It integrates with Mainstream’s satellite and terrestrial transmission technologies to provide robust content delivery and an application platform for the manipulation and display of text, images, audio, and video. Not only does the Medias Server provide auto-failover between multiple transmission technologies but it also serves as a platform for local applications to massage delivered data at the end user site. It can also host programs that track and manage usage of delivered content and, since it has an integrated web server, can act as a local intranet server.

A sophisticated content capture and display application that integrates into all of Mainstream’s transmission technologies and provides text, image, audio file, and video file acquisition, filtering, and display in an intuitive, simple-to-use Windows user interface. Available either in stand-alone implementations for single users or in a networked version for the enterprise environment.

Mainstream Data is a global network-solutions provider, offering fully managed services and custom applications for the collection, distribution and display of broadband multimedia content using DVB satellite broadcast, two-way VSAT, Reliable File Transfer, and hybrid multimedia proprietary IP distribution networks. Customer applications include: digital signage: digital cinema; training; credit card authorization and POS.
