DataPath Provides Emergency Responders with Connectivity and Network Interoperability to Aid in Disaster Recovery

Hurricane season is just beginning, and companies and state and federal agencies are looking for ways to improve preparedness if disaster strikes. Toward that end, DataPath has expanded its offerings for disaster recovery and business continuity with an end-to-end solution that includes satellite communications terminals and services.

The Joint Incident Site Communications Capability (JISCC) solution allows emergency responders from separate agencies to be more productive by providing a satellite communications system linked with hand-held radio interoperability. This allows command and control to be restored hours after any disaster. This highly-mobile solution includes hand-held radios, computers, phones and video teleconferencing equipment supporting 30-50 users.

DataPath has also introduced Managed Satellite Services that offer a one-stop shop to quickly establish and restore network communications, anytime, anywhere. DataPath provides the network design, earth stations, bandwidth, teleport services, hub management and ongoing support so that first responders can focus on restoring not just connectivity but normalcy.

Disasters sometimes occur with little or no warning. The longer it takes to restore command and control, the greater the risk of human and material loss. With its latest innovative solution, DataPath can help its customers prepare for emergencies by taking a pre-emptive strike against disaster and its consequences.
