RRSat Expands Global Services

RRSat Global Communications Network Ltd. (NASDAQ: RRST), a rapidly growing provider of comprehensive content management and global distribution services to the television and radio broadcasting industries, announced several exciting additions to the company's global service offerings.

Through a recent contract with Intelsat, RRSat has begun operating a new multiple channels per carrier (MCPC) platform on the Galaxy 23 satellite.  This new C-Band platform will serve a growing number of broadcasters wishing to enter the North American market by connecting to the leading cable operators and direct broadcast satellites (DBS) in the USA and Canada.  Soundtrack Channel, a cable, satellite and IPTV channel devoted entirely to movie music and entertainment, has chosen to expand its contract with RRSat using the Galaxy 23 satellite. The RRSat Global Network will provide Soundtrack Channel with a total end-to-end solution, including video content management and distribution services.  

RRSat also serves Asian cable operators via Loral Skynet’s Telstar 10 satellite and offers the ideal satellite distribution platform in Asia; Full & Partial transponder services, End to End Transmission, Customized network design, Development & Implementation through professional Services. In addition, RRSat operates a platform on the Intelsat 10 satellite covering Africa. Also, during the last year RRSat began operating a full MCPC platform on Eutelsat W2 satellite for European and east European customers.
