CompUSA Supports Brand and Sales through Microspace’s Satellite Powered Digital Signage Network
CompUSA, one of the nation’s top ten retailers of consumer electronics and technology products, wanted to visually and dynamically provide the most current product information and expertise to enhance the in-store experience of their customers. With 250 stores across the United States and Puerto Rico and an inventory of over 80,000 products, CompUSA was looking for a more efficient and sophisticated point-of-purchase platform to highlight specific new technologies and enhance customer experience.
As the audio/video architect and integrator for the CompUSA in-store network, PlayNetwork partnered with leading industry service providers, including Microspace Communications, to deliver an in-store High-Definition (HD) network to meet this need for CompUSA. Via Microspace’s VELOCITY satellite service, HD video content is easily updated and simutaneously downooaded to each store.
